So here we are, just two girls with creative flare, a passion for florals and all things lovely. When we started envisioning our shop and the products we would sell the one thing that kept coming up was wastage. There is always so much paper!!! The paper that usually comes with a perfect bouquet gets unwrapped, thrown in the bin and you’re left with a not so perfect bouquet which you have to arrange yourself in a vase that doesn’t quite work. The average person won’t know that having green leaves in your water is a big no no!
We didn’t want that, we wanted to create something with minimal waste that could be reused in multiple ways and so we have the jars!!! It was the start of something lovely, and over the past few months our creative hands have evolved with our concept. We are working on a flower press which will hit our online store in the next few months, video content to show you how to press flowers, dry them at home and keep them fresh and lovely for as long as possible. We have loads of tips we want to share but quite frankly we are a bit rubbish at social media, but don’t worry we now have a team to manage that so we can focus on the other stuff.
We are not perfect, but we promise you we are trying to be mindful about our packaging and the materials we use. Our pressed flowers are pressed at home with our own pressing kits, the cards are eco friendly and the plastic looking sleeve that comes with the card is actually compostable. We made good choices and one day we will eventually have eco friendly ink that’s printed on our paper… (Mona’s big dream).
Our collection is being revised and we are looking at alternatives to floral foam, but for now we really love our boxed up flower garden. So even though we are not 100% plastic free (because floral foam is actually made from tiny little plastic particles) we are trying to find alternatives.
So for now… enjoy your lovely shop and thank you so much for stopping by.
